You can move in anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on January 25th.
If you need to move in after 2:00 p.m. or after January 25th , you will need to check in directly at your community front desk. Please note that move-in assistance will not be available.
Unless pre-approved, do not arrive before January 25th.
Your SF State ID card is needed for check-in on Move-in Day. If you have not yet received your SF State ID, you can use a government-issued ID to check-in, but you should request your ID as soon as possible. To request your SF State ID and for pick-up location information, visit the OneCard Office.
To help you move your belongings, a limited number of moving bins will be available for checkout at all communities except for Manzanita Square and University Park South. You may bring your own dolly or hand truck to assist with moving your belongings.
Only 2 guests per resident may help with move-in.
To best manage traffic and parking congestion, only one vehicle will be allowed in the unloading areas per resident.
Due to a max clearance of 6’8”, large trucks, trailers, or recreational vehicles cannot be accommodated in Lot 20 or the Manzanita Square parking garage.
Long-term parking in Lot 20 will be FREE on Move-in Day (January 25th). Be sure to follow all parking restrictions as SF State is not responsible for any parking violations.
Meal plans included in the License Agreement will be activated at the time of check-in.
Flex and Gator Dollars will be available on February 13th.
Yes, you can submit a meal plan change request. The deadline to request the change is February 10, 2025.

Currently, there are no parking spaces available within the residential community, however, you can purchase a space in Lot 20R through Parking and Transportation starting January 13th.
You may submit a Room Change Request form via the Student Housing Portal starting 2 weeks after move-in. Please Note that requests are not guaranteed and are dependent on space availability.
