*Returning residents are students who are currently living on campus.

New Resident Post Move-in Reminders

Once you're settled, be sure to make some time to take care of a few things: 

  • Review the Housing policies contained in the Community Living Standards Guide.
  • Complete the Community Engagement Survey | Due by Feb 3rd at noon
  • Complete and turn in your Room Condition form to your community desk | Due Feb 3rd
  • Complete the Occupancy Verification form | Available on the Housing Portal Jan 31st - Feb 10th.

Don't forget to attend your Community Meet & Greet on Jan 23 @ 1 PM

Be Prepared for the Forecasted Bay Area Storms

Given the forecasted storms, the National Weather Service has issued severe weather advisories for the Bay Area and warnings for the potential of widespread flooding, mud/landslides, and power outages. To prepare for this weather event, we recommend that you ensure that you have enough supplies on hand (such as food, water, first-aid kit, and flashlights with extra batteries) and plan to stay indoors for the duration of the storm. Please also be sure to keep your windows closed to avoid any damage to your room or apartment.

THINGS TO KNOW

Limited Operations January 4th and 5th.

Due to the impending storms, several offices may move to remote operations.  The information on the right will allow you to receive services and support whether the offices are staffed in-person or serving remotely:

  • Life Safety Concerns: University Police at 415-338-2222 or 911.
  • Non-emergencies: call 415-338-7200 or email upd@sfsu.edu.
  • The Student Housing Office will remain open during our regular business hours 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with limited staffing, however, we recommend you call our or email our office at 415-338-1069 or housing @sfsu.edu instead of visiting in person.
  • The Cashier’s Office will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. Any check payments can be dropped at the check payment drop box located at the Student Housing Office at 800 Font Blvd.

The Dining Center will remain closed until January 21, 2023.

To report any facilities issues during the storm, please contact the Facilities Customer Service Desk at facilities@sfsu.edu or 415-405-0579.  Afterhours calls may be routed to University Police.
