WGC Move-in Process

Blue route

Follow the blue route signage to the check-in and unloading areas. Look for the blue flags when you arrive at these locations.

Move-in Steps

STEP 1 | Car Call Lot

LOCATION: 496 WINSTON DRIVE

  • Present ID & Move-in Confirmation. 
  • Receive an unloading permit/bin rental card.
  • Proceed to the unloading area when directed.

Please Note: If you are arriving by Uber, Lyft or other ride service, skip the Car Call Lot and proceed directly to your check-in location.

STEP 2 | Unloading

LOCATION: TAPIA DRIVE  

  • Follow map to the unloading area and temporarily park.
  • Fill out the bin rental card and turn it in to staff to rent a moving bin. 
  • Place the unloading permit in your vehicle according to the instructions on the permit.
  • Move-in staff will unload your belongings.

STEP 3 | Check-in

LOCATION: SOUTH SIDE OF WGC NEAR THE HUMANITIES BUILDING  

After your vehicle is unloaded:

  • Resident: Walk to the check-in area and show your ID to receive your keys.

STEP 4 | Park

LOCATION: LOT 20 ON STATE DR.

Guest: Move your vehicle to Lot 20 levels 1-3 while the resident is checking in. PARKING IS FREE!

Please Note:

  • Due to a max clearance of 6’8”, large trucks, trailers, or recreational vehicles cannot be accommodated in Lot 20.
  • Pay attention to any parking restrictions as SF State will not be responsible for any parking violations.  

Moving Bin Rental

Move-in bins will be available at the unloading area to make it easier for you to move your belongings. You are welcome to bring small moving equipment, such as hand trucks or dollies.

TO RENT A MOVING BIN:

  • Fill out and detach the bin rental card on the unloading permit you received at the Car Call Lot. 

  • Provide the card along with your SF State ID or government-issued ID. Your ID will be returned to you when you bring your bin back to the bin check-out area.
  • 1 bin can be checked out for a maximum of 1 hour.

Please Note: There is an $85 charge for any bins that are not returned.
