CHECK-IN

ITEMS REQUIRED | Your SF State ID –OR– government-issued ID. 

REMINDER | A family member or friend cannot check-in for you.

PARKING

  • Parking is FREE in Lot 20 on move-in day. 
  • Be sure to follow all parking restrictions as SF State is not responsible for any parking violations.

Don't come to move-in if you are sick

DON'T COME TO CAMPUS IF YOU'RE SICK

If you or your move-in guests are feeling sick or displaying symptoms of COVID-19, contact the Student Housing Office to reschedule your move-in.

Hand truck

BRING YOUR OWN DOLLY OR HAND TRUCK

Moving bins will not be available during summer move-in. To make it easier to move your belongings, we encourage you to bring your own dolly or hand truck.

2 guests and 1 car max

LARGE VEHICLES CANNOT BE ACCOMMODATED

Lot 20 on State Drive has a max clearance of 6’8”. Therefore, large trucks, trailers, or recreational vehicles cannot be accommodated.

2024 Spring-to-Summer Transition Residents

Move-in Process Timeline: Pick-up new keys, move belongings, return old keys

What to Do

STAY IN YOUR CURRENT SPACE

Stay in your current space during the transition period (May 26 - 31, 2024). Spring to summer transition rates apply. 

PICK UP YOUR KEYS

After 10 AM on June 1, 2024, pick up the keys to your new space from the Towers at Centennial Square (TCS) community desk.

MOVE YOUR BELONGINGS

Move your belongings from your old space to your new space by no later than 5 p.m. View the Spring Move-out Guide for more information about moving out of your old space.

CHECK OUT OF YOUR OLD SPACE

Check out of your old space according to the instructions in the Move-out Guide and return your room keys to the TCS community desk. Summer license agreement begins and summer rates apply.
