How to Enter

CONTEST RULES

  • Participants must currently live in on-campus housing. SF State employees are not eligible to participate.
  • Participants are required to like the contest post and follow SF Sate Housing on one of the following social media platforms (Facebook: sfstatehousing, Twitter: sfstatehousing or Instagram: sfstate_housing).
  • Only one entry per room. Roommates who share a room cannot separately enter and must agree to have their room entered into the contest. Do not include you or your roommate in the photo submission.
  • Only clear photos of bedrooms are eligible for submission. Photos of any other rooms will not be considered.
  • All entries must comply with the Community Living Standards Guide.
  • Participants must agree to the photo release conditions outlined on the entry form.
  • Any submission deemed inappropriate or that depict policy violations will be disqualified.
  • Any submission with visible drug or alcohol paraphernalia, promotional materials, pornography or obscene material will be disqualified.
  • Any submission with visable policy violations will be addressed through the Student Conduct Process.

JUDGING

  • Rooms will be judged based on cleanliness, creativity, Gator pride, use of space, and overall design.
  • Two entries from each housing community (16 photos total) will be selected as finalists by a committee of Student Housing and Residential Life staff.
  • Finalist photos will be posted on social media for voting and the 3 finalists whose photo receive the most votes will be announced as the winners.
  • Winners will be contacted to schedule a photo shoot of their room.
