New Spring 2022 Move-in Day

As a result of President Mahoney’s announcement that in-person instruction for spring 2022 will be delayed until February 14, 2022, and in effort to provide a safe and healthy housing community for our residents, the move-in day for spring 2022 has been officially pushed back to February 12, 2022.  Due to this change, the housing charges currently posted on the university account of new residents will be adjusted by one full room and meal installment. Spring 2022 room and meal charges will begin with the installment due on February 15, 2022.

  • If you have already completed the Move-in Confirmation form, the move-in timeslot you received is no longer valid. The Student Housing Office will send you a separate communication containing your updated February 12, 2022 move-in timeslot.
  • If you have not already completed the Move-in Confirmation form, please go to the housing portal and complete it as soon as possible. The deadline to complete the Move-in Confirmation is January 12, 2022. Once you complete the form, you will receive your move-in timeslot.

All new spring 2022 residents are still required to provide the following upon check-in:

  • Proof of negative COVID-19 test result | Test result must be no older than 72 hours from when the test was taken.
  • Appointment confirmation for a future COVID-19 test | This additional COVID-19 test will be taken on campus between February 14 and February 17, 2022. Visit to register and have the appointment confirmation available to show at check-in.
  • Health screening results | Show your "Green badge" confirmation (printed or on your phone) from your health screening taken prior to arriving to campus on the day you move in via the SF State mobile app.

IMPORTANT REMINDER | Please continue to take all necessary measures to remain as safe as possible. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please get tested as soon as possible. If you receive a positive COVID-19 result, do not come to campus until you have completed all COVID-19 isolation guidelines and protocols recommended by the CDC.
