Move-in Process - UPS

Each community is assigned a route color that will correspond with your map and directional signage. The route color for UPS is YELLOW.

Please have all items ready to show to Move-in staff when you arrive.

IDENTIFICATION | Your SF State ID –OR– government-issued ID –AND– Check-in Pass.
SF STATE HEALTH SCREENING |  Your "Green badge" confirmation (printed or on your phone) from your SF State health screening.

Location: 600 Winston Drive (Lot 25)

  • Present your Check-in Pass and ID. Resident will show SF State COVID-19 health clearance. Guests will answer health screening questions.
  • Receive an unloading permit, map to the unloading area, and health clearance wristband(s).
  • Proceed to the unloading area when directed.

IDENTIFICATION | Your SF State ID –OR– government-issued ID

Location: Manzanita Square (MSQ) Courtyard at 2 Varela Ave. (see map)

  • Follow map to the unloading area and temporarily park outside the MSQ building on Holloway or Varela. There is a max time limit of 15 minutes in the temporary parking area.
  • Walk to the check-in area and show your ID to receive your keys/Move-in Packet.

REMINDER | A family member or friends cannot check-in for you.

Location: Designated unloading areas near your building (see map).

  • Return to your car and drive to your building. Park in one of the designated parking spaces.
  • Place the unloading permit in your vehicle according to the instructions on the permit.
  • After unloading, move your vehicle to any available street parking outside of the unloading area or to one of the lower levels of Lot 20.

REMINDERS

  • To help minimize traffic congestion, only 1 vehicle will be allowed to the unloading area. Additional vehicles will be re-routed to the long term parking area in Lot 20. We recommend that you do not bring multiple cars, however, as long term parking is limited.
  • Parking is free in Lot 20 during Move-in.
  • Due to a max clearance of 6’8”, large trucks, trailers, or recreational vehicles cannot be accommodated in Lot 20.
  • Pay attention to any parking restrictions as SF State will not be responsible for any parking violations.
