The following practices and protocols have been implemented in effort to protect the well-being of the residential community.
COVID-19 vaccinations are now readily available for the majority of the population and are our best tool to overcome the pandemic. In order to be able to provide the safest possible congregate housing experience, SF State Housing will be requiring that ALL residents are vaccinated prior to the start of the fall 2021 semester unless they have been approved for a medical or religious exemption. You will not need to show your proof of COVID-19 vaccination during the move-in process.
As a part of the move-in process, ALL students (vaccinated and exempt from vaccination) are required to take a COVID-19 test. Within the first week after you move in, you are required to sign up through the MyHealth website to receive a free COVID-19 test administered by Shield T3. Tests will be administered at the top floor of Lot 20 parking structure, Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 1 PM. Please be sure to follow the testing criteria outlined on the MyHealth page. Click here for more information about COVID-19 testing.
Please Note: COVID-19 testing is a mandatory requirement for all residents in the housing program. Failure to comply will lead to student conduct review of your account that may lead to the termination of your housing license agreement.
If you or your move-in guest(s) is feeling sick or displaying symptoms of COVID-19, do not come to campus. Contact the Student Housing Office at firstname.lastname@example.org to reschedule your move-in. Students will need to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test or a note from their doctor showing that they no longer have COVID-19 to be able to move-in.
Wear a face covering at all times during Move-in.
Manage your distance when around others.
Wash your hands after touching common surfaces.
Show your "Green badge" confirmation (printed or on your phone) from your health screening taken prior to arriving to campus on the day you move in via the SF State mobile app .
At this time, external (nonaffiliated) visitors to the University and overnight guests are prohibited from in the residence halls or apartments. In addition, no more than one resident student visitor is acceptable at any one time.
Only 1-2 guests per resident may help with move-in.
