Housing Lock Changes
On Tuesday evening (Dec. 17), a University vendor contacted Facilities to alert the staff that a set of unmarked master keys to the residential halls and apartments on central campus and in University Park North and South had been lost. It is estimated that changing locks in affected buildings will begin Dec. 26.
The following actions have been initiated:
- A 24-hour security service has been initiated, making a security officer available at each affected site.
- Locks will be changed and new keys created for all affected buildings. It is estimated the process will take approximately two to three weeks.
- UPD has increased patrols in the vicinity of the affected residence halls and apartments.
