San Francisco State Dining Services is focused on serving healthy and sustainable food options using fresh ingredients and our culinary expertise.

Meal Plans

Participation in a meal plan is mandatory for all Licensees residing in the following communities:

  • Mary Ward Hall
  • Towers at Centennial Square
  • Towers Junior Suites
  • Village at Centennial Square
  • University Park North

Residents at Manzanita Square and University Park South may purchase voluntary meal plans at sfstate.sodexomyway.com.

  • 19 meals/week + $75 flex dollars
  • 15 meals/week + $100 flex dollars
  • 12 meals/week + $250 flex dollars
  • 5 meals/week + $200 flex dollars*

*University Park North residents only.

Please Note: 

  • Meals cannot roll over from week-to-week and are not transferrable.
  • Unused meals (swipes) expire at the end of Saturday for mandatory meal plans. Meals will load on Sunday for the new week.
  • FLEX dollars can be used to purchase additional meals and retail items at City Eats and Bricks and will be disbursed in two increments. Each after the deadline to change your plan for each semester.

Students can request a change of meal plan once a semester. The last day for students to request to change their meal plan is:

  • Fall 2021 semester - Deadline has passed. Changes can no longer be made.
  • Spring 2022 semester - February 7, 2022

Gator Dollars are the University currency that work like a prepaid debit card with funds kept on your student ID card. Gator Dollars may be used at any participating on-campus dining location including Bricks and City Eats. 

Please Note: Gator Dollars are not provided by Housing as part of the meal plan. Gator Dollars can be purchased through the OneCard Office.

Dining & Meal Pick-up

At this time, all meals will be grab-n-go meal from City Eats and Bricks. Meals can be ordered online using the Transact App.

  • Breakfast | Entrée and a beverage
  • Lunch & Dinner | Entrée, a dessert, and a beverage

After swiping your card in the lobby, you may go to one of the entree stations to make your selection. You can then move to the self-service salad bar, dessert bar, and beverage bar to complete your meal.

PRECAUTIONS

Residential Dining Services will take the following steps to minimize risk of exposure to COVID-19:

  • Clean and disinfect all surfaces every 1-2 hours
  • Wear PPE, such as gloves and face coverings
  • Provide hand sanitizer stations at various locations throughout the dining center
  • Installed clear protective barriers in front of the cashier's station

RESIDENT REQUIREMENTS

When picking up your meal, residents are required to wear a face covering.

  1. Download the Transact Mobile Ordering App
  2. Select San Francisco State University
  3. Enter your SF State login credentials

ORDER YOUR MEAL

  1. Select City Eats from the dining location menu.
  2. Select the item(s) you would like to pick up.  A meal is an entrée, side salad, dessert, and beverage of your choice. Retail items can also be selected (use the Flex dollars loaded to your meal plan at checkout for these items).
  3. Check out and review your order.
  4. Select tender option and confirm to complete your order.
  5. You will be notified your order is ready and will receive a barcode to scan at the pick-up location.

Gift packages are available for purchase throughout the year.  Fresh-baked sweets such as cakes, cookies and cupcakes, or healthier options such as fruit and assorted nuts or sandwich platters are available for pick up or delivery by your student anytime.
