MOVING BIN CHECK-OUT

Move-in bins will be available at the location indicated on your map to make it easier for you to move your belongings. You are welcome to bring small moving equipment, such as hand trucks or dollies.

To check out a moving bin:

  • Fill out and detach the bin rental card on the parking hang tag you received at the Car Call Lot. 
  • Provide the card along with your SF State ID or government-issued ID. Your ID will be returned to you when you bring your bin back to the bin check-out area.
  • 1 bin can be checked out for a maximum of 1 hour.

Please Note: There is an $85 charge for any bins that are not returned.

STEP ① | CAR CALL LOT

LOCATION: 496 WINSTON DRIVE

  • Present Check-in Pass and ID.
  • Receive an unloading permit/bin rental card.
  • Proceed to the unloading area when directed.

STEP ② | CHECK-IN

LOCATION: 

295 BUCKINGHAM (BU) WAY | UNITS 240-387 BU & WINSTON
200 BUCKINGHAM WAY | UNITS 1-235 BU

  • Follow map to the unloading area and park in one of the designated parking spaces.
  • Walk to the check-in area and show your ID to receive your keys.

STEP ③ | UNLOADING

LOCATION: BUCKINGHAM WAY 

  • Walk to the bin rental location at 225 BU. Fill out the bin rental card and turn it in to staff to rent a moving bin (high-rises only). 
  • Return to your car and place the unloading permit in your vehicle according to the instructions on the permit. You will have 1 hour to unload your vehicle.

STEP ④ | PARK

LOCATION: LOT 20 ON STATE DR. | PARKING IS FREE!

  • After unloading your belongings, move your vehicle to Lot 20 levels 1-3.
  • Due to a max clearance of 6’8”, large trucks, trailers, or recreational vehicles cannot be accommodated in Lot 20.
  • Pay attention to any parking restrictions as SF State will not be responsible for any parking violations.
